Ear wax candles... They exist! No, I'm not talking about the grotesque mini mountains of bodily scum turned into a light providing device a la Father Ted, I am indeed talking about special candles that you insert into your ears to clear them of all the gunk. Surely this can't work? Everyone's favourite Jim decides, with the help of science, to find out.

Faced with yet another boring Sunday trying to laze on the sofa watching crappy TV I actually contemplate joining some form of religious organisation to help make me a better person and devote my life to the worship of God. Just in the nick of time Science Gimp turns up and says we're going to Hastings! Yay! This road trip is one with a difference as we actually went back in Yesterday's World.

What to do when you have a bunch of people round, loads of alcohol, and no work the next day? Get naked and dance around whilst smothering marmalade over each other! Hmph, that idea didn't go down too well on the night either, but Raf the Science Gimp introduced us to a drinking game which non of us had ever played before, so we did that instead.

As you may have read, I got a chemistry set for Christmas. Not really interested in making blue crystals from Copper Sulphate and wanting to do something that worked pretty much immediately we had a bit of a brain storm. With all these tools at our disposal, and lots of alcohol lying around, what did we do? We set out to make stronger vodka.

Admittedly this was done at Christmas, but I've been waiting an age for the Science Gimp to give me the photos.

This morning, having driven home from Sheffield through the night and only having had 4 hours sleep, I was rudely awoken by a pair of Seventh Day Adventists only too eager to spread the word of God. After I promptly told them where they could stick their bibles I went back to bed. It then got me thinking...what would happen if Lucifer sent his minions out door knocking and telling his side of the story? Would he have a higher conversion rate?
